Aspiring independent business people can enter the network marketing field with ease. Very few Companies have been able to deliver this leverage effectively and consistently over the long-term. In surveying network marketing companies, “Network Marketing Today” magazine evaluates companies using the following criteria:  

1.      Management – many network marketing companies fail because of inexperienced or unfocused management. Management should have experience in the mainstream corporate world

2.      Products – excellent performance, repeat sales, good R&D support.

3.      Compensation Plan – a fair plan for all distributors (not just the super high achievers), plus maximum “real” (not just on paper) payout to distributors is required to reward effort and to attract new people

4.      Support - the more company support available – marketing materials, sales aids, hot lines, teleconferencing, training, corporate meetings, contests, conventions, web presence, public relations, etc. – the easier it is to promote the products and opportunity

5.      Longevity – will these companies be around 10 to 20 years from now? This is crucial because of the amount of effort you put into establishing your network and also because 80% of all new companies fail within the first two years
